- Workshop
This 10-hour workshop focuses on early literacy instruction. Preschool teachers will learn how to create a solid foundation for reading success as well as how to identify students with red flags for reading difficulty.
The Associate Practicum is only open to those who have recently completed Associate training (ideally within the past two years). All those accepted into the Associate Practicum will be mentored by a Fellow (or Fellow-in-Training) to continue refining skills to integrate and apply the knowledge, concepts, and skills learned during the Associate coursework in a remedial setting.
The Supervising Fellow (or Fellow-in-Training) will observe a 40-60 minute lesson on 10 separate occasions and provide written and verbal feedback as well as ongoing support over the course of the practicum program.
After completion of the practicum, the individual will be qualified to apply for certification with The Orton-Gillingham Academy at the Associate Level.
If you have any questions about the practicum programs offered, please reach out to training@readsource.com or fill out this contact form. We will be happy to assist you!
By invitation only: applications for the Associate Practicum will be available August 1st of each year. We will notify applicants of their acceptance by September 1st.
