Early Literacy

This 10-hour workshop focuses on early literacy instruction. Preschool teachers will learn how to create a solid foundation for reading success as well as how to identify students with red flags for reading difficulty.

Concepts covered will include some basic research around reading acquisition, phonological and phonemic awareness, oral language, letter naming, sequencing, handwriting, and the sound-symbol concepts of phonics.
